ABOUT ME

My name is Aisha Tejani. I am a south Asian settler living and working on the lands of the traditional, ancestral and stolen territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm, Skwxwú7mesh and Səl̓ílwətaʔ peoples. I moved to Canada when I was 16 years old from London, UK and since then have learned from many teachers and mentors on this land. 

I have been practicing mindfulness for the past 8 years and have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Commerce Degree, UBC

  • Mindful Educator Essentials Certificate from Mindful Schools

  • 200 hour Meditation Teacher Training Certificate from Lab of Meditation

  • Trained in Queer Competency with Qmunity

  • 5 years of experience teaching mindfulness with the BC Crisis Centre to high school students

  • 1 year of experience teaching mindfulness to staff and faculty at UBC
